李如詩 LI, RUTH

Picture

Australian artist Ruth Li’s works evoke dream-like utopian fantasies while projecting a feeling of insecurity and fragility. Li utilizes her sculptures and instillations as metaphor to explore tradition and multicultural concepts of beauty as a cross-cultural language in to the spiritual and the sublime.
Li finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts (honours) at the National Art School in 2013 and is represented by MAY SPACE Sydney. She currently divides her time between Australia, Taiwan, and her studio in Jingdezhen, China. Li has since been invited to exhibit, host workshops and talks in China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Turkey and Australia. Li’s works are collected by Taoxichuan Museum in Jingdezhen, China, Guray Museum in Avanos, Turkey as well as the Nevsehir City’s public collection.
