Nia graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design, YunTech. She loved to paint when she was a child, and she was too deviated from simplicity on the way of learning. When she grew up, she forgot to paint. For her, "love + creation" used to be difficult. In June 2014, a strong feeling drove her back to the brush. She took apart the old and simple drawing tools in the box and bought a canvas, started to create on the floor. She created many works in a row, sometimes she faced them, felt excited but relatively calm at the same time; Then understand, creation will be her lifestyle for practicing her personal life. Nia is a little afraid of humans but she can’t give up on humans, so she poured those upset, melancholy, and neurotic into the warm and plump cat's body, and gradually shaped them into cute cats with strange souls, so as to maintain relationships with humans. Since 2017, she has really stepped into the field of ceramic, self-exploring the changes of ceramic and temperature (the heart becomes stronger after bursting a few kilns), and modifying the notes and trying again, firing belongs to my own characteristics! This self-extreme exploration road, processing.

Currently, she is living and working in Beijing. Her work has continued to exhibit in China, Europe, and in the United States. Meng Du is interested in preserving memories and keeping a record of them so they do not fade over time. With a natural instinct to extract meaning from narrative, she also wants to show memories in decay, as a way of memorializing them and showing the process of their slow disappearance from our consciousness. She incorporates the drawings and found objects, which come from her personal life experience into the surface treatment and imaging techniques of glass. To represent the nostalgic feeling and memories of certain times and places that she does not want to let go of.
Born in Fuzhou, and currently residing in Beijing, China and Ito, Japan. She graduated from China Academy of Art, majoring in Chinese Painting. The nature in the crevices of the buildings in her paintings is both false and true, whispering several moments of "presence." Passing through the corners of the building, it may naturally be very close, so close that you can hold the cloud in your hand by stretching out your arms, as if a person is in the sky;or perhaps far away, the mid-level line is hidden in the mist. With the different architectural crevices in her works, people can be in any real and imaginary places, drifting on the sea, at the foot of icebergs, in Chinese courtyards, in European castles, and traveling everywhere in the blink of an eye. The real architectural texture in the work obscures the only consciousness of the viewer, making people believe that the building in front of them is real, and the scenery in the gap is within reach.
